How to get to HOAC by car

From London or the West (M40/M25)

Take the A40/M40 (M25 J16) to the Swakeley's road roundabout, signed towards Ickenham. At the small roundabout turn left into Harvil Road. Continue across the railway bridge and the road goes downhill, then up and to the left. The Dews Lane is on the left just before the start of the bend. Continue along Dews lane to the end. Beware of barriers out side of normal opening hours.

From the South (through Uxbridge)

Go north to the Swakeley's roundabout and proceed as above.

From the North (Watford/Harefield/Rickmansworth)

Take the A412 from Rickmansworth through Maple Cross to Denham Green and turn left at the traffic lights. Continue to the small roundabout at the end of Moorhall Road and turn right. Dews Lane is on the right after 3/4mile, about 200 yards past the left turn into New Year's Green Lane and the Recycling Centre. Continue along Dews lane to the end. Beware of barriers out side of normal opening hours.

NB. These directions are for simplicity - there are many local short-cuts known to local drivers.
